One of our freelance translators recently came into our new office to find out more about XTM-Cloud and learn how to use this new tool. Within an hour she became familiar with the system, asked me lots of questions, and was able to meet the whole team. Her feedback was very positive, and I was happy I could help her.

Learning how to use our tools, understanding our expectations, and getting your questions answered in a timely manner are key components of your success as a linguist working for the Translation Service.

However, with so many of you based outside of Wellington – both in New Zealand and overseas – it is virtually impossible for us to offer face-to-face workshops to all of you. This is one of the main reasons why we’ve created this blog, designed and published e-learning modules, and signed up to Skype (my username is tts_stefan).

With Translating Aotearoa’s Live Sessions we’re taking the support we provide you to the next level. We’re looking at holding a series of interactive webinars with up to 10 participants at a time. Each 30 to 45mn session will cover a different topic, and will be recorded and published on this blog.

We’re still in the planning stages, but to make them as relevant as possible I’d really like to find out what topics you would be interested in. So leave a comment or send me an email to let me know what you want to chat about!
